How do I reset a low water sensor alarm? [Back to Top]

The only time the low water sensor option should be turned on in the menu is when there are two sensors being used with the ELC-800r. There are two ways to reset this alarm. The first is to do a master reset as is talked about in the FAQ section of our website. The second thing you can do is try and change the low water sensor setting while the controller is in delay after it is first turned on. You will have about 5 seconds from the time the controller has gone through it's self test until it will go into the low water sensor alarm. By stepping though the menu with the select button you can change the setting for low water sensor to off before the controller goes into alarm.

What kind of sensors are used in the ELC water level controller line? [Back to Top]

The sensors used in the ELC water level controller line are proximity sensors that allow for precise water level measurement without the addition of an electrical source or the complexity of a mechanical float.

Why are the fill valve terminals on my ELC-800r always charged with 24VAC? [Back to Top]

The fill valve terminals are tested each time the ELC-800r unit is turned on. The controller sends 24 VAC to those terminals in order to make sure the controller is functioning correctly. Unless there is a valve wired into placed to take the initial 24 volts off of the terminals then a voltmeter will show that there is current on those terminals. If a valve is connected and there are still 24 volts at those terminals at all times please call customer service at 877-755-8817.
